This young family's home needed an inviting entry and more functional, sophisticated play and entertaining spaces. The addition of a turnabout and curving walkway with lighting and deer-resistant native and non-native plantings welcomed guests. A mixed border of native plantings including rhododendron, viburnums, and spruce add interest in four seasons at the new gate entrance.

In the back, a series of patios provided for an outdoor grill area with bar seating, large dining table, and a lower level fireplace with seating. Raised stone beds provide for plantings and define the spaces. Another firepit and gravel terrace overlooking a large flat lawn area perfect for family sports.
